A Couple of Things

Whenever someone tells me they want a couple of cookies or papers or seconds of my time, I give them exactly two of whatever they ask for.

Now, some people get upset when this happens. They oftentimes mean they want some or a bunch of those things.

And when I politely explain that a couple means two, they argue that it doesn’t.

Except that it does.

Every time.

Under any circumstance.

I promise.

Look it up.

So the next time you ask for a couple of whatevers, understand that you are asking for two of those things.

And don’t get pissed off if you don’t get more than what you asked for.

Do you mean a bunch when you say a couple? Leave a comment below!
